ViewInRoom is operated by Next Everything Inc ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect on viewinroom.com and in the ViewInRoom widget, and what we do with it. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Who this covers
Two different groups of people:
- Store owners and visitors of viewinroom.com who read the site, run a compatibility check or send us a message.
- Shoppers who use the ViewInRoom widget on a store that installed it.
What we collect on viewinroom.com
- Compatibility checks. When you paste your store address, we record that address, the date and time, your browser type, the page you came from, and an approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address. We use it to follow up and to understand which stores are interested.
- Contact forms. The email address or phone number you enter, your store address, and anything you write in the message field.
- Analytics. We use PostHog to see which pages people read and which buttons they click. This includes page views, clicks, device type and approximate location. We do not sell this data.
What the widget collects from shoppers
- The room photo. A shopper uploads a photo of their own room. We use it to generate that one visualization and nothing else.
- Usage data. Which product was visualized, when, and whether the visualization led to a click on the store's buy button. The store owner sees this in their monthly report.
We do not sell room photos, and we do not use them to train public AI models. A shopper can ask us to delete their photo at any time by writing to contact@viewinroom.com. Store owners can ask us to delete all data tied to their store.
Who else touches the data
We use a small number of service providers to run the product:
- Vercel hosts the website and the widget.
- PostHog provides analytics.
- Resend delivers our notification emails.
- AI image providers generate the visualization from the uploaded photo.
Each of them processes data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
- Contact details and compatibility checks: as long as the conversation is useful to both sides, then we delete them on request.
- Room photos and visualizations: kept while a store's plan is active, so results stay in the report. Deleted on request.
- Analytics: retained under PostHog's standard retention.
Your choices
Write to contact@viewinroom.com and we will, within a reasonable time:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- or stop contacting you.
California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA through the same address. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined there.
Children
The product is sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
